Job summary

Kautex, a global leader in automotive systems, seeks an Engineer Industrialization to drive launch readiness and manufacturing process improvements in our Detroit-area plant. You will coordinate design, build, and commissioning of new product lines, create MSD and PCE sheets, and support ECO/ECR processes while ensuring adherence to Kautex standards.

Ideal candidates bring a technical apprenticeship, Green Belt, and 3 years of manufacturing experience with Lean principles and molding expertise.

Qualifications

• Technical apprenticeship or comparable education.
• Green Belt certification is needed.
• 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Good command of primary language of plant is mandatory.
• English language skills would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute projects follow the FLP.
• Coordinate launch activities, design, build and commissioning, timing of new product lines and modifications.
• Be responsible for sampling preparation of other projects in the local plant (readiness checklist).
• Create Manuf. System Design (MSD) and PCE/CD sheets for new projects.
• Support the ECR and ECO process.
• Plan and manage Plant CAPEX. Order equipment on time as planned.
• Be responsible for Process flow chart, PFMEA before ordering e.g. tools, equipment.
• Ensure your participation for Design Review and Drawing review.
• Support for continuous improvement of existing product lines in located plant related to production equipment and tools.
• Responsible for manufacturing flow/methods according Kautex Standards.
