Express Employment Professionals in Saint Joseph, MO is seeking an experienced Industrial Welder for a chemical manufacturing facility. You will perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on industrial equipment, fabricate and repair components, and read blueprints with a strong emphasis on safety.

Qualifications

• Previous industrial or manufacturing welding experience required.
• Proficiency with MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding processes.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and weld symbols.
• Experience using grinders, cutting tools, torches, and measuring equipment.
• Strong fabrication, fitting, and mechanical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to produce clean, consistent, and structurally sound welds.
• Strong attention to safety, quality, and detail.
• Ability to work independently while supporting maintenance and production teams.
• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding as required.
• Fabricate, repair, and modify industrial equipment and metal components.
• Read blueprints, technical drawings, measurements, and weld symbols.
• Prepare materials by cutting, fitting, grinding, and positioning parts.
• Inspect completed welds for strength, accuracy, and quality.
• Assist with equipment repairs and preventive maintenance projects.
• Identify worn or damaged components and recommend corrective action.
• Maintain welding tools, equipment, and work areas.
• Follow plant safety procedures and chemical manufacturing requirements.
• Document completed repairs and communicate equipment concerns.
