Job summary

Countrymark Refining And Logistics in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Utility Technician responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment and piping in the logistics system. The role requires hands-on work in a chemical/industrial environment and travel as needed.

You will operate heavy equipment, perform first line maintenance, weld components (SMAW & GMAW), monitor process integrity, and participate in root cause analysis to improve reliability.

Qualifications

• 5 - 7 years related experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred.
• Licenses, Certifications or Registrations: Employee must have valid driver s license if operating a company vehicle or their own vehicle for work purposes.
• Must be able to pass Process Safety Management (PSM) and facility specific operator certifications.
• Ability to work overtime as needed and handle tasks under potentially stressful/hazardous conditions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and rebuild all pumps at all locations.
• Operate process mechanical equipment in accordance with documented procedures.
• Monitor piping process and equipment to ensure integrity, quality and stability is maintained.
• Conduct first line maintenance on automated machinery and equipment.
• Report defects or anomalies promptly to maintenance and management.
• Respond to process changes and unplanned equipment stoppages in a timely manner.
• Participate in root cause analysis to improve product quality and process reliability.
• Identify ideas to increase efficiency, quality, and reduce production costs and downtime.
• Operate heavy equipment for new construction and maintenance at the terminal system.
• Weld various components in the terminals (SMAW & GMAW).
• Understand basic motor control and field wiring.
• Understand theory of analog signal used in control.
