SCN BestCo is seeking a Utilities Maintenance Mechanic to support night shifts in a 12-hour schedule. The role involves maintaining and repairing complex machinery, laying out and machining parts, and ensuring safe operation of plant systems.

The candidate will diagnose faults, install piping, troubleshoot pumps, weld components, and follow lockout procedures while maintaining high standards of quality and reliability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Competenze

Must have high school diploma or GED.
Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work flexible hours and shifts (2nd, 3rd or 12-hour shifts).

Mansioni

Respond rapidly to production breakdowns with urgency.
Machine complex parts using lathes, mills, drills and surface grinders.
Interpret blueprints, sketches or other specs.
Diagnose and repair machine faults; determine repairs and reassemble.
Install plant processing equipment including copper, stainless steel, plastic and iron pipefitting.
Troubleshoot and repair pumps (vacuum, centrifugal, diaphragm, gear, reciprocating).
Inspect equipment for lubrication and perform preventive maintenance.
Weld using TIG, oxyacetylene, brazing or arc welding.
Adjust motors and electrical controls as needed.
Follow LOTO procedures for safety.
Learn operating and maintenance requirements of production machines.
