Job summary

JR Automation Technologies, LLC is seeking a Throughput Simulation Engineer in Michigan. You will develop and validate discrete event simulation models for manufacturing and warehousing, assessing throughput and capacity while collaborating with sales and engineering to optimize system designs.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of robotics experience, a related bachelor’s degree, and hands-on experience with simulation tools such as Process Simulate, Plant Simulate, and RobotStudio.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of robotics experience in industrial automation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Software engineering.
• Experience with robotics/discrete simulation software such as Process Simulate, Plant Simulation, RobotStudio, RoboGuide, Visual Components, Emulate3D.
• Ability to analyze bottlenecks and optimize systems using simulation and data‑driven analysis.
• Willingness to travel, including extended travel and some international travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop simulation models to assess throughput, capacity, and operational performance.
• Analyze manufacturing, warehousing, and material flow systems for bottlenecks and optimization opportunities.
• Create discrete event simulation models to support concept development and customer decision‑making.
• Collaborate with customers, sales, and engineering on alternative designs and strategies.
• Present simulation findings professionally to teams and customers.
