Job summary

Aims Community College is seeking adjunct faculty in the Industrial Technology program. Faculty will teach a range of topics including automation, PLCs and robotics, and will work with the lab coordinator to ensure equipment readiness. Preference for instructors able to teach Allen Bradley PLCs and related topics.

The position supports a part-time pay model per credit, with benefits depending on hours worked. Applicants should review the required documents and apply via the college’s hiring page.

Qualifications

  • MTE courses are CTE courses. Faculty must have an Aims CTE Credential to teach these courses.
  • To teach 1101, 1110, 2220: bachelor’s with 2,000+ hours of industry experience in last 10 years OR associate with 4,000+ hours in last 10 years OR 10,000 hours of relevant experience and credentials.
  • Experience in Manufacturing Processes, Manufacturing Production and Repair, and/or Engineering & Technology is required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide instruction covering industrial technology and advanced manufacturing topics including PLCs, automation, instrumentation, electrical systems and maintenance.
  • Supervise students to ensure safety and proper use of equipment and facilities.
  • Evaluate student work and assign grades; assist full-time faculty with assessment of learning.

Education

Bachelor's degree in STEM-related field
Associate degree in STEM-related field
Relevant professional or trade certifications
