Job summary

Southeastern Container, Inc. is seeking a skilled operator to run compression molding equipment, box erecting systems and related machinery to produce high-quality preforms and PET bottles. You will monitor resins, colorants, and detect out-of-spec products, while coordinating changes and reporting issues to the Team Leader.

You will maintain safety, keep the work area clean, and ensure accurate scrap tagging and reporting. This role requires the ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Able to follow safety procedures.
• Able to bend over consistently.
• Must be able to work 12.5 hours shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate compression molding machines and box erector systems per safety and operating procedures.
• Monitor resin and colorant feed to ensure continuous operation.
• Verify correct product using correct resin and color as scheduled.
• Coordinate resin color changes as needed.
• Report unsafe conditions and quality issues to supervisor.
• Maintain clean work area and assist with mold cleanings.
• Complete scrap tags and labels for tracking and process scrap as directed.
• Perform tests to verify conformity to SQMS standards.

We are now seeking talented individuals to join our team for the following role:Responsible for operation of compression molding equipment, box and labeler systems and any related equipment that is necessary to assure production of compression molded parts of optimum quality.Duties and Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned as necessary.Maintain a clean working environment and follow all safety guidelines and policies at all times. Report any unsafe conditions to the Team Leader or Operations Manager.Start, stop, and run compression molding machines and box erecting system per established safety and operational procedures.Monitor resin and colorant feed and supply to assure continuous operation of the equipment. Verify that the correct product is produced using the correct resin in the correct color as specified by Production Scheduling. Coordinate closure and color changes as necessary.Monitor production for adherence to quality specifications and notify the Team Leader or Operations Manager of potential problems. Troubleshoot and profile machines as necessary. Work with the Team Leader or Operations Manager to isolate any production that has been identified as out of specification.Account for machine scrap. Complete all required scrap tags and labels for scrap tracking. Process scrap as directed by the Team Leader or Operations Manager.Perform visual and technical tests on preforms to verify conformity to SQMS standards. Immediately report any out of specification product to the Team Leader or Operations Manager.Monitor support equipment such as dryers, chiller, printer and box erector and immediately report any obvious malfunctions to the Team Leader or Operations Manager. Assure that any automated defect detection or quality test equipment appears to be operating correctly.
