Job summary

Texas Instruments in Richardson, TX, is seeking an Industrial Systems Engineer to join the North Texas 300mm IE group. You will help develop system logic that drives productivity and efficiency at TI's 300mm facilities, with a focus on automation and data-driven decisions.

The role requires collaboration across managers, supervisors, and engineers, strong problem solving, and the ability to deploy new technologies in a fast-paced wafer fab environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related degree.
  • 2 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing or high volume manufacturing.
  • Ability to work in a clean room environment wearing a smock.
  • Experience developing a workflow solution.
  • Experience with workflow platforms.
  • Front-end semiconductor manufacturing experience is valued.
  • Experience with Applied Materials SmartFactory software suite and/or AMR/AMA is a plus.
  • Experience developing dispatching and scheduling logic with Real-Time Dispatch (RTD).
  • Proficient with Python or Shell scripting.
  • Familiarity with Linux server environments and Git version control.
  • Experience querying data with SQL and creating reports in platforms such as Spotfire, PowerBI, Tableau, or Excel & VBA.
  • Base understanding of complexities behind material movement using Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHS).
  • Team player - must be able to work effectively across functional and cultural boundaries.
  • Strong communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively across functional boundaries and with upper management.
  • Must be comfortable working in a clean room environment wearing cleanroom required garments.
  • Out of the box thinking.

About the job:

North Texas 300mm Industrial Engineering (IE) group is seeking an accomplished Industrial Systems Engineer to join our team. The hired candidate will be part of the APF Engineering group that plays a crucial part in developing system logic that drives productivity and efficiency at TI's 300mm facilities in North Texas. This particular position will be based out of the 300mm Richardson site.

The desired candidate will have previous experience transitioning to new roles quickly, effectively learning new concepts, and being self-motivated to meet objectives in a rapid paced work environment. The candidate should have a proven track record of working effectively with managers, supervisors, and engineers across different organizations to achieve business goals in a quickly changing wafer fab environment.

The ability to visualize, troubleshoot, and continuously improve the complex system interactions at an automated 300mm semiconductor wafer fabrication facility is key to being successful in this position.
