Chipton-Ross, Inc. invites a strategic IIOT Systems Architect to design and implement secure, scalable architectures for enterprise IIOT environments. You will lead migration efforts, define governance, and ensure compliance while collaborating with security teams and vendors.

The role emphasizes long-range planning, architecture guardrails, and alignment with enterprise standards. Hybrid onsite work is required, with two days on site per week in Newport News, VA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required and school must be accredited.
• Experience with enterprise level initiatives or platform responsibilities is preferred.
• Strong technical skills with an emphasis on IIOT and security controls.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns; perform systems management and integration functions.
• Oversee enclave migration of machine network assets into the enterprise IIOT network, defining migration plans, validation procedures, and cutover schedules.
• Design and implement secure OEM remote access provisioning and ongoing management, coordinating with security and vendor teams.
• Guide decomposition of legacy monolithic systems and develop decoupling strategies that preserve operational continuity.
• Align architecture decisions with IIOT security, infrastructure, and operational standards.
• Ensure all migration and remote access activities meet applicable compliance and cybersecurity requirements.
• Participate in long range IIOT architecture planning and roadmap development.
• Establish practical architecture guardrails that encourage consistency without impeding delivery.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

• Experience with enterprise level initiatives or platform responsibilities
• Value stream mapping, Lean prioritization, or portfolio planning experience
• Ability to define and enforce product workflows, standards, or governance practices
• Advanced SAFe or product management certification
• Experience shaping long range product planning, solutions, and financial prioritization. Primarily supports Level 5 Systems Architect. Needs to have strong technical skills.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalent.

School must be accredited.

HOURS:

7:30 AM - 4 PM. Hybrid position. Must be able to work ONSITE 2 days per week.
