Job summary

The Brock Group Inc. is seeking a Steam Tracer to install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot steam tracing systems within refinery and industrial environments.

You will work with piping and process equipment to ensure heat transfer and protection against freezing, following site procedures and safety requirements. You will read drawings and work packages, install and terminate tracing systems, and coordinate with other crafts to complete projects on time, including during shutdowns and

Qualifications

• Previous industrial steam tracing or pipefitting experience preferred.
• Experience in oil refineries, petrochemical facilities, or chemical plants preferred.
• Ability to properly bend and install small-bore tubing without kinking.
• Knowledge of compression fittings and tubing preparation and assembly.
• Basic understanding of steam and condensate systems.
• Ability to read and understand industrial drawings, specifications, and work packages.

Responsibilities

• Install steam tracing tubing on process piping, valves, pumps, instruments, vessels, and refinery equipment.
• Measure, cut, bend, route, and secure stainless steel, copper, and other tracing tubing.
• Install steam supply and condensate return tubing systems.
• Install tubing fittings, unions, valves, steam traps, manifolds, and fittings.
• Route tracing for proper heat transfer with correct spacing.
• Install single-line and multi-line steam tracing systems per drawings and specs.
• Terminate tracing at manifolds, traps, condensate systems, and connection points.
• Identify and maintain proper tubing slope for condensate drainage.
