Calgon Carbon | A Kuraray Company is seeking an Industrial Sprayer for our Bloomfield, NM facility. You will prepare equipment, mix paints, inspect coatings and ensure SSPC standards are met, with responsibility for safety and quality in coating operations.

Qualifications

Position: Industrial Sprayer Location: Bloomfield Plant - Bloomfield, NM

Hours of work: 5 Days per Week; Typically 5 days per week 8 hours shifts. Must be available for overtime as needed.

The Industrial Sprayer prepares equipment for painting and coating by cleaning, solvent wiping, taping and papering prior to painting. The Industrial Sprayer mixes paint and linings in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. The Industrial Sprayer visually inspects own work for defects and noncompliance to specifications and makes necessary repairs. The Industrial Sprayer inspections will include both surface preparation and finished coatings. Surface preparation verification in accordance with SSPC for cleanliness and surface profile. Coating inspection will include dry film thickness gage use, holiday or spark testing. Complete inspection result documentation. The Industrial Sprayer ambient condition monitoring and reporting. Wet bulb and dry bulb temperature, relative humidity and surface temperature to ensure application requirement compliance. The Industrial Sprayer operates fork trucks and overhead cranes while moving equipment in and out of paint booths. The Industrial Sprayer will assist in other areas with various tasks as required. The Industrial Sprayer will travel to customers of vendor locations to troubleshoot and fix quality related issues.
