Job summary

Nesco Resource is seeking an Industrial Sewing Machine Operator to join our Clinton Township team. The role focuses on sewing seating fabric and materials to meet production and service order requirements, with opportunities to contribute to process improvements and quality initiatives.

The position operates on 2nd shift, Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM, with overtime as needed. Pay rate ranges from $18–$21 per hour (DOE).

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of industrial sewing experience in a cut-and-sew environment.
• Strong knowledge of sewing techniques, materials, and patterns.
• Ability to meet quality standards and production deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial sewing machines to sew fabric, leather, and foam for seat covers and service orders.
• Assemble components into complete seat cover sets according to specifications.
• Support material flow through sewing and embroidery operations.
• Perform routine maintenance and preventive care on machines and equipment.
• Inspect products for quality and adherence to standards.
• Identify and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and workflow.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
• Follow safety guidelines and use required PPE.
• Report nonconformities, hazards, or unsafe conditions.
• Support quality systems (ISO/TS 16949) and ISO 14000.
• Participate in problem-solving and investigative processes as needed.

Pay Rate: $18–$21/hr (DOE)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM (overtime as needed)

Key Responsibilities

• Operate industrial sewing machines to sew fabric, leather, and foam for seat covers and service orders.

• Assemble components into complete seat cover sets according to specifications.

• Support material flow through sewing and embroidery operations.

• Inspect products for quality, craftsmanship, and adherence to standards.

• Identify and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and workflow.
