Job summary

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking a Security Specialist - Industrial to protect classified work and oversee safeguarding requirements across government contracts. The candidate should have an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility, experience with SAP/SCI environments, and be able to obtain CDSE within one year.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or bachelor’s with extensive related experience.
• Specialized experience with flag-officer briefings and senior interfaces.
• CDSE within one year of hire; SCI eligibility required.
• Experience with Special Access Programs and SCI environments.
• Ability to coordinate across Government, contractor and external stakeholders; prepare briefings and official correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Review and maintain contract-security documentation defining safeguarding and performance requirements.
• Coordinate industrial-security matters with Government personnel, program stakeholders, and contractor security reps.
• Evaluate contractor security practices and facility considerations for compliance.
• Support inspections, self-assessments, and corrective-action tracking for industry partners.
• Advise stakeholders on protection requirements affecting contracts, subcontracting, personnel access, and deliverables.
• Maintain records of oversight activities, findings, and corrective actions.
• Identify industrial-security risks and recommend protective measures for classified information.
• Facilitate timely resolution of security issues impacting performance or access.
