Securitas USA is seeking an Industrial Security Shift Supervisor - Part Time in Keokuk, IA. The role supervises Security Officers, enforces post orders, and coordinates client-site security operations during 11PM–7AM shifts on Mon and Tue.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of supervisory or security experience, strong leadership, and solid computer skills. Competitive wage at $17.30/hour with benefits and opportunities for flexible additional shifts.

Qualifications

• 2 years of supervisor experience or previous security experience
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills
• Above average computer/technology skills
• Must be able to work independently and stay calm in stressful situations
• Must be willing to participate in pre-employment screening (drug screen and background)

Responsibilities

• Functions as a supervisor of Security Officers and other personnel at client sites; ensure post orders are followed and reports filed
• Coaches and disciplines personnel; documents coaching and disciplinary actions
• Trains Security Officers and reviews assignment details with subordinates
• Ensures adequate coverage of posts and positions in coordination with management
• Prepares and submits required reports; inspects posts and outlines tasks with subordinates
• Meets client representatives to ensure security requirements are met and provide customer service
• Performs access control duties and monitors cameras
• Assists with writing schedules; may act as Security Officer per post orders

Industrial Security Shift Supervisor - Part Time

Primary Location: Keokuk, IA

Wage: $17.30/HR

Schedule: Mon & Tues: 11PM - 7AM (plus flexibility to work additional days / shifts)

The Industrial Security Shift Supervisor helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

What You Can Expect

• Functions as a supervisor of Security Officers, Lead Officers, and other company personnel assigned to one or more posts at client site(s); acts to ensure that all post orders are followed, that established rounds are completed, and that required reports are filed; notifies proper authorities and client in emergency situations.
• Coaches and disciplines personnel as appropriate; seeks advice from company management or designated representatives as appropriate; meets personally with employees and documents coaching and disciplinary actions.
• Trains Security Officers and other company personnel; reviews post orders and other details of assignments with subordinates.
• In conjunction with company management or designated representatives ensures adequate coverage of all posts and positions.
• Prepares, files, and submits various reports as required.
• Inspects posts as scheduled and meets with subordinates to outline tasks and responsibilities.
• Meets with client representatives as scheduled or as needed to provide assurance that all security requirements are being met and to provide quality customer service.
• Access control duties - badging visitors.
• Monitoring cameras.
• Assisting with writing schedules.
• Will be trained in CPR, AED, and First Aide.
• May perform the duties of a Security Officer in accord with post orders and company policy.

Basic Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• 2 years of supervisor experience or previous security experience required.
• Driver certification.
