Job summary

Spry Squared, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Security Representative to support our Pentagon program in Arlington, VA.

The ISR will manage CAC/building access requests, SCI, SIPR token administration, and personnel security processing for DoD personnel and contractors. Ideal candidates hold an active TS/SCI clearance, have prior Facility Security Officer experience, and are adept at navigating DoD security guidance and regulatory requirements to safeguard classified information and critical

Spry Squared is looking for an Industrial Security Representative (ISR) supporting our critical customer at The Pentagon in the areas of PERSEC, PHYSEC, COMSEC, INFOSEC, INDSEC, and general security administration. The role is responsible for the following key functions:



  • Safeguarding industrial installations, resources, utilities, materials, tools, and information essential to the organization's operations.

  • Protecting and managing classified information and equipment developed by, or entrusted to, the organization, requiring in-depth understanding of security policies, procedures, and oversight requirements for the proper classification, access, handling, storage, and destruction of classified or sensitive material.

  • Developing, implementing and analyzing programs ensuring adherence to federal laws, regulations and directives for the classification management.

  • Management of clearance prescreening, verification and maintenance, including upgrades or downgrades, crossovers of existing clearances, continuous vetting, and periodic reinvestigations at all clearance levels.

  • Foreign visitor and facility access, special and restricted access programs, briefing and debriefing individuals on requirements and responsibilities of privileged access to sensitive programs.

  • Oversight of threat mitigation, including the planning, development and management of corporate asset protection programs.


Responsibilities


  • Develop and provide Records Management strategies to propel the DoD organization and meet the DoD implementation milestones.

  • Conduct ISR duties in the following areas: process CAC and building access applications; access control requests; country and threat briefs; in/out processing of DoD Agency personnel; indoctrinations/debriefings, security record management; courier card application processing; and visit authorization requests. In addition, you will also provide all access control for DoD Agency spaces at multiple Government locations.

  • Provide all Agency SIPR token administration, CAC resets, transmit, and retrieve all SCI cable traffic.

  • Provide support for all OCONUS travel briefs for both official and unofficial travel of the Directorate personnel.

  • Support the DoD Agency Security team and will directly interface and collaborate with key leaders and customers. Areas of emphasis are physical security, information security, OPSEC, and verification of clearances/accesses.

  • Conduct Personnel Security processing actions including requesting, reviewing, approving, and submitting clearances packages up to and including SCI nomination packages in accordance with customer requirements.

  • Maintain Personnel Security databases to track new employee security clearance actions and annual security training completion status.

  • Conduct security self‑inspections, apply risk mitigation methodologies, support customer assessments, and implement security measures to meet requirements.

  • Document compliance activities in accordance with the governing authority approved authorization package.

  • Maintain facility and program Security Operation Plans (SOPs) and other documentation.

  • Utilize centralized services and databases to record clearances, incident reports, movement of personnel, visit requests, etc. to inform the collection of robust performance metrics.

  • Ensure personnel are completing and maintaining the required security education and training.

  • Ensure proper protection and corrective measures are taken when an incident or vulnerability is discovered.

  • Conduct customer required inspections upload results to customer databases.

  • Process/produce CAC and other related badges requests.


Qualifications


  • Must have U.S. Citizenship with an active TOP SECRET with SCI (TS/SCI) clearance, preferably DoD. May also be SCI eligible which is possessing SCI withing the last six (6) months.

  • BA degree and 4+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2+ years of prior relevant experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

  • MUST HAVE: Prior experience as a Facility Security Officer and/or CPSO

  • Hands‑on experience in physical security assessments/inspections and Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF)/Special Access Program Facility (SAPF) security requirements.

  • Thorough working knowledge of the NISPOM, other relevant DoD security guidance as well as the Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) standards

  • The position requires a self‑motivated candidate that is capable of working in an independent or team environment with minimal direction, customer service orientated.

  • Commitment to security - creating and delivering the highest value to customers.

  • Ability to interpret company and government security policies and apply them to program operations.

  • Strong understanding of Physical Security requirements for OSS, SCIFs, and collateral Restricted Areas. Along with working knowledge of SF-86, SF-312, DD-254, SF700, SF702 and other required forms.

  • Thorough understanding of security databases, DISS, NISS, NBIS, SIMS

  • Experience creating and conducting initial security briefings, debriefings, indoctrinations, pre/post foreign travel briefings and refresher briefings, as appropriate.

  • Ability to develop and establish an effective security awareness, training, and education program.

  • Communicates with parties within and outside of own area, which may include external constituents depending upon the area. Requires ability to influence others outside of own area on policies, practices, and procedures.

  • Extensive experience with classified and unclassified networks and facility clearance requirements.

  • Demonstratable experience communicating information security and risk‑related concepts effectively to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills and demonstrate poise and ability to act calmly and competently in high‑pressure, high‑stress situations.

  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy are a must.

  • Must be able to work in a constantly changing regulatory environment with short‑, mid‑, and long‑term timelines for remediating any non‑compliance.
