Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Sector in Aurora, CO, is seeking an Industrial Security Manager – Level 2 to lead a security team onsite and manage a portfolio of classified programs. You will define security policies, ensure compliance with government regulations, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders from day one.

This 100% onsite role requires Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI Poly and strong leadership, mentoring, and program management skills to drive security milestones across

Qualifications

  • Active Top-Secret/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph at time of application.
  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of professional experience, or Master’s with 6 years; 4+ years in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of two years of management or supervisory experience.
  • Familiarity with CFR 32 part 117 (NISPOM), ICD, and DoD security requirements.

As an Industrial Security Manager – Level 2 located in Aurora or Englewood, CO, you’ll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.

The Industrial Security Manager – Level 2 will serve as a Special Security Manager and oversee all security activities and operations for the special program portfolio, including guiding briefed/non‑briefed personnel across all functions. Candidate will be interfacing with internal and external leadership personnel and must have the ability to successfully manage competing priorities. The selected candidate will manage a Security Team onsite and regularly collaborate with colleagues across multiple locations. They will ensure security compliance with government and company regulations and strive for excellence in executing security milestones. This position requires maintaining program security metrics and successfully managing competing priorities. The selected candidate will have the responsibility of developing and administering security programs and procedures for classified and proprietary materials, documents, and equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Study and implement federal security regulations that apply to company operations
  • Obtain rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies
  • Prepare manuals outlining regulations, establish procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and grant personnel and visitors access to restricted documents and materials
  • Develop and implement security education program
  • Oversee internal security audits
  • Investigate security violations and prepare reports specifying preventive action to be taken
  • Provide direction to security team members to assist with executing their statement of work
  • Assist with team members’ professional development and growth
  • Lead a team of security professionals to consistently apply the leadership characteristics expected of all employees within the organization
  • Ensure employee engagement across the team
  • Collaborate across teams within the organization
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and professional development/mentoring to professionals at all levels
  • Develop and implement security policy and standards across the programs
  • Ensure all program performance objectives, as well as key milestones and deliverables, are met
  • Manage program security compliance and operations
  • Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 6 years of professional experience. Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Requires an active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance with a CI Polygraph at time of application
  • Minimum of two years of management, supervisory, or other demonstrated leadership experience
  • Must have in-depth knowledge and familiarity with CFR 32 part 117 (NISPOM); Intelligence Community Directives (ICD); DoD Manuals, and other related security requirements

  • Full Scope Polygraph

Primary Level Salary Range: $133,100.00 - $199,700.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
