Job summary

Newport News Shipbuilding is seeking a security professional to develop and administer security programs for classified materials, ensuring compliance with federal regulations. You will prepare procedures for access, storage and records, and conduct security education classes and audits.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with relevant exempt experience, plus preferred credentials from NNS Apprentice School or NNPS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required with 0 years of exempt experience
• NNS Apprentice School graduate or NNPS graduate preferred
• Associate degree plus 2 years exempt experience or 4 years non-exempt experience considered
• Military Paygrade E-5 or above preferred
• High School/GED with 4 years of relevant experience or 8 years with non-exempt experience

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers security programs for classified materials
• Studies and interprets federal security regulations for company compliance
• Prepares manuals and procedures for access, storage and records handling
• Conducts security education classes and security audits
• Investigates security violations and prescribes preventive actions
