Base pay range

$24.00/hr - $25.60/hr

Job Description

This is a great opportunity to establish yourself in a secure company with over 85 years of history. At Prairie Farms Dairy, you will be part of a dedicated team manufacturing and packaging ice cream novelties. We offer full-time schedules with benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, pension, paid time off (holidays, vacation, sick days), and more.

Shift and Wage

Monday through Friday, 11 PM to 7 AM, with possible mandatory Saturdays. Wage: $25.60 per hour plus shift differential from 3 PM to 7 AM.

Employment Details

Full-time, 90-day probation, unionized with Teamsters Local 600 (must join after 30 days).

Responsibilities

1. Cleaning of machinery and equipment (freezers, tanks, fruit feeders, vats, pumps, lines, pasteurizer, homogenizer, etc.)
2. Cleaning floors, drains, walls, ceilings, and exterior equipment surfaces
3. Operation and cleaning of CIP systems and related equipment
4. Mixing flavors with fruit and concentrates
5. Receiving mix and operating pasteurizing systems (HTST)
6. Trash removal
7. Adherence to safety protocols including LOTO
8. Proper use of equipment considering allergen notations
9. Knowledge of sanitation chemicals

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old, fluent in English for safety
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Experience in industrial sanitation and food manufacturing preferred

Physical and Other Requirements

• Ability to operate pasteurization equipment
• Ability to read and understand instructions and manuals
• Lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds, and work in confined spaces
• Pass drug screen, physical, and background check
