Job summary

Ecowize North America is hiring a Sanitation Maintenance Associate to keep production floors, equipment, and facilities clean, safe, and audit-ready. This full-time role reports to a Site Manager and involves heavy-duty cleaning, operating power cleaning equipment, and adhering to safety protocols.

You will handle waste management, chemical handling, and routine maintenance, with opportunities for overtime. Join a mission-driven team focused on food safety and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications & Skills: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; strong safety mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform heavy-duty cleaning and sanitizing of production floors, walls, ceilings, drains, coolers, and processing machinery.
• Safely operate commercial power cleaning equipment including floor scrubbers, high-pressure washers, buffers, steamers, and trash compactors.
• Safely collect, sort, and dispose of garbage, recyclables, and hazardous or organic waste in compliance with procedures.
• Accurately mix and apply industrial cleaning agents, disinfectants, and EPA-approved sanitizers following SDS and safety guidelines.
• Perform basic plant upkeep like changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, replacing air filters, and addressing minor repairs.
• Inspect areas for safety hazards, adhere to health codes, and complete cleaning logs for audit readiness.
• Maintain open communication with teammates and supervisors to support operations.
