Job summary

Verano is seeking a Sanitation Associate to maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the warehouse and support facilities. You will be responsible for cleaning, stocking, and operating sanitation equipment, following health and safety regulations, and assisting with special cleaning projects as needed.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and the capacity to work in a fast-paced environment within a cannabis operations setting.

Qualifications

• Previous knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Must be able to operate and maintain heavy equipment and machinery in a safe manner.
• Comfortable with heights, soil and water, and tight spaces.
• Able to stand for at least 8 hours per day and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Must be 21 years of age or older and able to register with the state's cannabis commission as an agent.
• Must be able to comply with all laws, regulations, and policies associated with the industry.

Responsibilities

• Clean and supply designated building areas, including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping.
• Perform and document routine inspection activities.
• Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects.
• Support harvest sanitation of gardens as needed.
• Utilize sanitation equipment such as sprayers, power mops, steam cleaners, etc.
• Notify management of deficiencies or repairs.
• Stock and maintain supply rooms.
• Follow health and safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Experience in janitorial,custodial,maintenance

MSDS/OSHA knowledge preferred

OSHA knowledge preferred

Cleaning chemicals knowledge

Operate heavy equipment safely

Height/space tolerance

Stamina: stand 8h, lift 25 lb

Age 21+ & cannabis agent registration

Compliance with laws and policies
