Job summary

Wood is seeking a hands-on worker in Longmont, CO to sandblast pipe and skids in various configurations using a 2” high pressure hose, and to paint pipe and metal buildings with 2-part epoxy and acrylic paints.

You will follow all safety rules, identify proper tools, handle materials correctly, and operate equipment such as manlifts or forklifts as needed, while passing pre-employment drug, background and fit tests.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment drug, background and fit tests.
• Experience with 2-part epoxy based paints and other acrylic 2-part paints.
• Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs.
• Coordinate two or more limbs while seated, standing, or lying down.
• Move hand and arm steadily to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.

Responsibilities

• Sandblasting pipe and skids in different configurations using a 2” high pressure hose; air helmet provided.
• Painting pipe and metal buildings and skids.
• Identify, recognize and demonstrate safe usage of hand tools and power tools appropriate for the job.
• Recognize various materials used in the craft and demonstrate safe material handling techniques.
• Select and safely use appropriate equipment which may include manlifts, fork lifts, and company trucks.
• Follow the rules of safe conduct at all times.
