Qualifications

• Ensure rigging hardware and slings meet inspection criteria.

• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and safety policy acceptance.
• Comply with safety requirements at job sites.

Responsibilities

• Select cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, and blocks according to load.
• Attach pulleys to fixed overhead structures with bolts and clamps.
• Attach load to crane hook using grappling devices.
• Direct equipment operators and maintain safety signals.
• Rig hoisting equipment and ensure worker safety on site.
• Direct workers during hoisting of machinery onto ships, rail cars, or trucks.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor.
