Job summary

gpac is seeking a Senior Industrial Refrigeration Technician in Houston, TX. You will independently manage large, complex refrigeration systems, with ammonia experience a plus. The role covers refrigeration racks, cold storage facilities, ice machines and distribution center cooling.

Compensation is $55–$65 per hour plus overtime; benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k with 50% match up to 10%, relocation assistance, and per diem for out-of-town work. Union or non-union welcome.

Qualifications

• Senior level industrial or heavy commercial refrigeration service background.
• Ability to diagnose and service complex systems on your own.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Stable work history and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and service complex refrigeration systems independently.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues across large industrial setups.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on refrigeration equipment.
• Maintain refrigeration rack systems, cold storage facilities and large distribution center cooling.

We're working with an established Houston mechanical contractor looking for a senior Industrial Refrigeration Technician who can independently handle large, complex customers and specialized systems. Ammonia experience is a plus but not required if you're already a strong industrial refrigeration tech.

• Troubleshooting, repair, preventive maintenance, and service
