About the Role

As an Industrial Refrigeration Maintenance Specialist, you will ensure the peak performance and reliability of our critical manufacturing infrastructure. You will play a vital role in optimizing plant uptime by managing complex mechanical systems, executing preventive maintenance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Execute comprehensive preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial refrigeration systems, including ammonia and Freon units, compressors, and heat exchangers.
• Utilize advanced troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical equipment failures, minimizing production downtime.
• Interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation to perform precise repairs and system upgrades.
• Manage inventory for critical repair parts and maintenance supplies to ensure readiness for all facility needs.
• Perform root cause analysis on equipment malfunctions and implement effective countermeasures to prevent recurrence.
• Conduct routine facility inspections and safety audits to maintain a secure, compliant, and efficient work environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production workflow and contribute to lean process improvement projects.

Qualifications

Required Skills

• 6-8 years of experience in an industrial maintenance environment.
• Proven expertise in ammonia refrigeration system operation and maintenance.
• Hold at least one recognized certification such as Journeyman (Electrical/Mechanical), Certified Assistant Refrigeration Operator (RETA), or CMRT.
• Proficiency in 120/208/240/480 voltage systems and electrical safety protocols.

Preferred Skills

• Completion of two or more advanced technical certifications, including PLC troubleshooting or advanced refrigeration credentials.
• Strong background in mechanical and electrical systems with 8+ years of relevant industrial experience.
• Demonstrated ability to coach team members on tool usage and maintenance best practices.
• Experience with data-driven root cause identification and lean methodology application.
