Job summary

Oil-Dri Production Company is seeking an Automated Processing Operator to handle Kiln, Loader and Bulk Loading Lab tasks. You will report to a Lead or Plant Supervisor and perform safety‑driven operations in a manufacturing setting.

Requirements include a HS diploma, basic mechanical skills, ability to lift 50 pounds, and strong reading of SOPs/PWI. Valid PPE use and reliable teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Must read, comprehend, and act on SOPs and PWI.
• Must meet basic mechanical skills requirements.
• Must be able to stand for the shift and lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Must be able to wear PPE and work in an industrial environment.
• Must have good verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate Kiln, Lab, and Loader safely and efficiently.
• Complete pre-shift safety inspections and document concerns.
• Generate work orders and verify maintenance work.
• Assist in changing Rotex, Sifter Screens and other equipment.
• Back up for operators when needed and transport waste.
• Maintain equipment and troubleshoot basic issues in the mill and dryer areas.
• Follow lock out procedures and safety protocols.
