Job summary

A leading industrial service provider is seeking an experienced technician to perform electrical maintenance and troubleshooting on various equipment in the United States. The role requires competency in safety procedures, electrical measurements, and a formal background in electrical work. Qualifications

• Demonstrated competency in reading arc flash labels and electrical warning signs.
• Properly fill out a Job Safety Analysis (JSA/JHA).
• Implementation of Lockout and Tagout procedures.
• NFPA 70E Certified.

Responsibilities

• Take switching orders and perform switching on 480V – 35.5kV equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on feeder breakers and transformers.
• Fabricate and install various conduit types.
• Troubleshoot energized motor controls.

Skills

Ability to adjust to changing field conditions

Read and interpret basic electrical control schematics and diagrams

Theoretical understanding of electricity

Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical testing procedures

Identify and explain purpose of test equipment

Pass NCCER Written Skill Assessment

Pass pre-employment drug/alcohol test

Education

Formally trained as an electrician or IE Technician

2+ years industry experience or 3+ years as electrician/technician
