Job summary

Daniels Health, a healthcare safety provider, is hiring a Plant Operator for its Shakopee, MN facility. The role involves weighing containers, loading the autoclave, recertifying drums, and managing universal waste.

Candidates should be comfortable lifting 50+ pounds, reading weights, and working with PPE in a fast‑paced environment. The position is full‑time, with standard second‑shift hours, benefits from day one, and a requirement to pass a background check and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Experience in a labor‑intensive industrial or warehouse setting.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds safely and repeatedly.
• Willingness to take a 5 panel urine drug screen.
• Willingness to pass a 7 year background check.
• Basic math and accurate weight recording.

Responsibilities

• Weigh incoming medical waste containers on the weighbridge.
• Load and operate the autoclave for waste treatment.
• Recertify 55‑gallon drums for safe reuse.
• Count universal waste and add to manifests.
• Lift 55‑gallon drums up to 75 lbs throughout shifts.
• Stand for extended periods in a non‑office setting.
• Follow written processes and safety procedures.
• Complete paperwork and double‑check counts and labels.
• Spot and report issues with containers, paperwork, or equipment.
• Collaborate with teammates and supervisors to keep the plant running smoothly.
• Help train others once competent in specific tasks.
