Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Utility Person to join our plant team in Dallas, GA. This role emphasizes safety-conscious, dependable, and motivated individuals who can perform cross-functional duties in maintenance, production, and equipment operation.

You will grease and lubricate equipment, maintain housekeeping, operate skid steers and loaders, perform inspections, and assist with training coworkers. A High School Diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent to perform responsibilities.
• Experience in the building materials industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on mobile and plant equipment under supervision.
• Perform daily pre/post-shift inspections and maintain maintenance log.
• Use a hand shovel and operate equipment to clean around plant equipment and maintain roadways and parking areas.
• Operate a water truck to limit airborne dust.
• Participate in production, loading/shipping, and quality control.
• Maintain good housekeeping and safe traffic flow throughout the site.
• Operate plant-specific equipment such as excavators and haul trucks as needed.
• Assist in training of co-workers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
