  • Develop facility layouts, equipment layouts, fabrication drawings, and technical designs using CAD.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve manufacturing efficiency.
  • Work with PLCs, controls, sensors, conveyors, packaging systems, robotics, and system integrators as applicable.
  • Support plant infrastructure, including HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, compressed air, process water, wastewater, and building systems.
  • Partner with Maintenance on equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, CMMS, spare parts, and long‑term maintenance planning.
  • Support facility expansions, renovations, production‑line modifications, and equipment installations.
  • Evaluate and manage vendors, contractors, equipment manufacturers, and engineering firms.
  • Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, contractors, and technical deliverables.
  • Ensure engineering solutions consider sanitation, maintainability, food safety, applicable regulatory requirements, and workplace safety standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement in throughput, downtime, changeovers, material flow, equipment utilization, and process consistency.
Qualifications
  • Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
