Qualifications

• 4 years Journeyman-level experience.
• NCCER-Ind Pipe PV certification.

Responsibilities

• Cut, thread, and hammer pipe to specifications using saws, torches, pipe threaders, and benders.
• Attach pipes to walls, structures and fixtures with brackets, clamps, or welding equipment.
• Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading.
• Plan pipe system layout, installation, or repair per specifications.
• Select pipe sizes and materials per specifications.
• Maintain and modify pipe systems, units, and fittings per instructions.
• Install automatic controls for pipe systems.
• Turn valves to shut off steam, water, or other gases or liquids.
• Inspect work sites for obstructions and safety concerns.
• Operate pumps to remove water from flooded areas.
