Job summary

Austin Industries seeks a Pipefitter NCCER to lay out, install, and maintain industrial piping systems. You will work on steam, heating, cooling, and process lines, with duties spanning layout, cutting, threading, and securing components.

Candidates should have 4 years of journeyman experience; NCCER certification preferred; valid driver’s license and TWIC card are required or preferred; ESOP environment. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• 4 years of Journeyman-level experience.
• NCCER Certification preferred (not required) and a Valid Driver’s License and TWIC Card.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and supports for industrial equipment.
• Cut, thread, and hammer pipe using saws, torches, pipe threaders and benders.
• Attach pipes to walls, structures, and fixtures with brackets, clamps, or welding equipment.
• Plan pipe system layout and select pipe sizes and materials according to specifications.
• Inspect work sites for obstructions and ensure no structural weakness.
• Operate pumps to remove water from flooded areas and maintain safety standards.
