Job summary

Integrated Power Services (IPS) is seeking a conscientious Parts Cleaner & Painter to join our industrial teams. You will clean, strip, and prime parts used in electrical and construction projects, using sandblasting and spray coating techniques and ensuring proper masking and protection.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, willingness to work indoors and outdoors, and commitment to safety. Prior painting experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• 2-year technical school or related certifications are a plus.
• Prior experience in parts cleaning/painting in an industrial setting preferred.
• Experience with different painting equipment and techniques preferred.
• Ability to mix paint colors according to specifications and follow directions.
• Able to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Properly clean, remove grease, dirt and rust from components and prepare for painting.
• Mask and protect parts not to be painted or coated.
• Apply coatings with spray equipment to meet coverage and gloss standards; correct errors.
• Paint parts and fixtures and ensure quality finish.
• Inspect parts before painting; clean equipment after painting.
• Follow procedures for a quality and lasting finish.
• Maintain spray equipment and inventory of paints and supplies.
• Follow safety practices and work indoors and outdoors.
