Job summary

Taylor Staffing is seeking a skilled painter to perform a wide range of interior and exterior painting, finishing, and surface maintenance. The role may supervise other staff and support project teams.

You will prepare surfaces, apply primers and finishes, operate and maintain spray equipment, and ensure safety and accurate record keeping. The ideal candidate is physically fit, detail-oriented, and able to collaborate across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate and use required tools and equipment safely.
• Ability to mix paints and apply finishes to a variety of surfaces.
• Ability to perform heavy physical labor.
• Ability to coordinate work flow for multiple projects.
• Follow and give oral instructions and maintain cooperative working relationships.
• Detail Oriented.
• Fit tested and wear a respirator.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, prime, sand, seals, patches surfaces and fixtures utilizing painting materials such as lacquer, enamel, water-proofing, and heat resistant finishes.
• Tapes, flushes, repairs, and applies texturing and acoustic layers on a variety of surfaces.
• Adjusts colors when necessary; utilizes enhanced finishing skills when appropriate.
• Operates, cleans, and maintains all painting equipment, sprayers, pumps, etc.
• Safely stores and labels all materials.
• Maintains appropriate service records.
• May training and direct the work of other classified staff in the area.
• Assists and serves as back up to other employees.
• Functions both individually and as a member of a team.
• Remains safety-conscious at all times.

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for performing work in the painting, finishing and maintenance or a wide variety of interior and exterior surfaces and structures; may direct the work of other classified staff in the area and perform related work as required.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
