Job summary

Alamo Group is seeking a Paint Spray Operator to coat surfaces for finished appearances on a production line. The role involves masking, surface prep, spray operation, and material handling around the paint area. You may perform minor repairs and must pass respirator tests with color acuity.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• 6 months to 1.5 years of painting experience preferred.
• Ability to operate paint spray equipment and adjust for spray quality.
• Knowledge of paint characteristics and spray systems is preferred.
• Must pass OSHA pulmonary/respirator testing and have color acuity.
• Lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds; climb ladders as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare components for painting, mask and plug as needed.
• Clean and prep surfaces before painting using solvents, abrasives, and brushes.
• Operate spray equipment and adjust settings to required finish.
• Load workpieces onto conveyor and move materials as required.
• Perform minor equipment repairs and maintain spray equipment.
• Run paint quality checks and monitor filters and booth cleanliness.
• Record work orders and inventory transactions accurately.
