Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation's JLG division is hiring a Painter in McConnellsburg, PA. You will apply primer, paint, and touch-ups on JLG products using spray equipment and brushes, and ensure quality finishes through prep and inspection.

You will disassemble and clean painting equipment, mix paints, and adhere to color specifications while maintaining a clean workspace. Weekend/overtime work may be required; apply with attention to safety and PPE.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of painting experience in automotive, industrial, or heavy equipment settings.

Responsibilities

• Apply primer, paint, and touch-up coatings using spray equipment and brushes.
• Mask and unmask parts to meet specifications.
• Prepare surfaces by sanding, washing, and conditioning; perform light bodywork if needed.
• Disassemble, clean, and maintain painting equipment (pumps, heaters, tanks, guns, etc.).
• Flush tanks and lines during color changes.
• Mix paints for color accuracy, viscosity, and consistency.
• Apply decals, stencils, and rust-proofing as required.
• Inspect work before, during, and after painting to ensure quality standards (including mil and gloss checks).
• Transport parts and materials using tuggers, forklifts, overhead cranes, or manual carts.
