Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an Industrial Painter for 1st shift in Du Bois, PA. This contract-to-hire role focuses on preparing and finishing metal components using industrial painting techniques, with spray guns, paint booths, and finishing equipment on a climate-controlled production floor.

Expect precise work, adherence to safety, and detail-oriented finishing. Typical hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM with OT available; pay starts at $20/hour and can reach $23/hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience with industrial painting, powder coating, automotive painting, or manufacturing is preferred.
• Ability to safely operate spray painting equipment and related finishing tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality finishes.
• Ability to read work instructions and follow directions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Prepare components for painting by cleaning, masking, sanding, and surface prep.
• Apply paint, primers, coatings, and finishes using spray equipment per specs.
• Mix paints to correct color and consistency according to instructions.
• Inspect finished work for defects, coverage, and thickness.
• Maintain paint booth and finishing equipment, and read production orders.
• Monitor inventory of paints and supplies and notify management as needed.
• Adhere to safety procedures and PPE requirements at all times.
• Assist with general production tasks and continuous improvement activities.
