Job summary

AZZ Inc. in Rowlett, TX is hiring a Powder Coat Painter to prepare surfaces, apply powder coatings, and inspect finished parts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will operate electrostatic spray guns and curing ovens, ensure quality, follow safety procedures, and keep work areas clean.

Strong attention to detail, 2–3 years in powder coating, ability to read instructions and SDS, and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of powder coating experience required.
• Familiarity with powder coating equipment and processes.
• Ability to read and interpret job instructions, blueprints, and SDS.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare metal surfaces for coating, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and applying pretreatment chemicals.
• Apply powder coatings using electrostatic spray guns in a controlled booth environment.
• Operate curing ovens and monitor temperature and time settings to ensure proper curing of coatings.
• Inspect finished products for uniformity, coverage, and adherence to specifications.
• Maintain and clean powder coating equipment and work areas.
• Mix and match powder colors according to customer or production specifications.
• Work closely with quality control and production teams to meet deadlines and standards.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE).

AZZ has an opportunity for a Powder Coat Painter at our Rowlett Texas facility.
