Job summary

Keel Midwest is hiring a Painter I or II to prepare surfaces for coating and to perform brush or spray operations on manufactured products with standard finishes. Advanced knowledge of blast profile may be required for proper coating adhesion.

The role involves maintaining a clean and safe workspace, following paint specifications, and handling tools and equipment with care to ensure quality finishes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic to advanced knowledge of industrial painting methods.
• One year or more of industrial paint experience.
• Must be organized and detail oriented.
• Must read and understand work instructions with supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prepares surfaces for painting.
• Applies primer and other coatings per paint specifications.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Cleans and maintains tools and painting equipment, sprayers, and strippers, sometimes disassembling for maintenance.
