Qualifications

• 3+ years industrial painting experience (equipment, structural steel, oil & gas, or manufacturing environments).
• Strong knowledge of surface prep and coating application techniques.
• Ability to follow coating specs, work instructions, and quality checks.
• Reliable attendance and strong pride in finished product.

Responsibilities

• Perform surface prep for industrial coatings: degreasing, solvent wipe-down, mechanical abrasion/sanding, masking, detailing, edge prep, correction of surface defects.
• Apply industrial coatings using airless/HVLP spray and brush/roll where required (primers, epoxies, urethanes, polysiloxane/topcoats, customer-specified systems).
• Mix coatings per manufacturer requirements (ratios, induction times, pot life) and document batches as required.
• Verify coating quality: wet film thickness (WFT) and dry film thickness (DFT) checks; touch-up and repair as needed.
• Maintain booth/shop housekeeping and staging discipline.
• Follow all safety rules and PPE requirements including respirator use and ventilation protocols.
• Support HEP quality processes and workmanship standards.
