Job summary

Johnson Controls in San Antonio, TX is seeking a 2nd Shift Painter to contribute to the production of high-quality HVAC equipment by applying industrial coatings and finishes with precision. This role requires 2–4 years of experience with industrial paints (enamel, zinc, carboline, amerlock, epoxy) and knowledge of hazardous waste handling and environmental safety practices.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience with industrial paints including enamel, zinc, carboline, amerlock, epoxy, and thinners.
• Knowledge of hazardous waste handling, storage documentation, and environmental safety practices.
• Ability to read measuring devices and perform math at a level normally acquired through the completion of high school.

Responsibilities

• Apply industrial paints and finishes to units and components.
• Perform mixing procedures to specifications to paint units and/or components.
• Perform hydro testing.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and assist with housekeeping.
