Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing experience required.
• Forklift experience required.
• Experience operating industrial spray painting equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret a tape measure.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.

• Flexibility to work outside normal hours when painting schedules require it.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Move pipes and parts into position for painting using slings and a forklift.
• Clean grease, dirt, and debris from surfaces before painting.
• Mask off areas that should not be coated.
• Mix paint, epoxy, or polyurethane coatings to required specifications.
• Load paint into spray equipment and connect to air supply.
• Adjust spray equipment to control spray pattern and pressure.
• Apply primer and finish coats using conventional or airless spray equipment.
• Use brushes to coat areas not accessible with spray equipment.
• Remove rust from metal using wire brushes or powered wire wheels.
• Clean spray guns, hoses, and brushes with appropriate solvents.
• Maintain inventory of paint and shop supplies.
• Keep work area clean and organized while following all safety procedures.
