Industrial Painter
- Complete work orders for interior & exterior painting, using brushes, spray gun or rollers
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including but not limited to removing old paint, smoothing surfaces and filling nail holes, cracks & joints
- Prepare area for painting, such as moving or covering furniture/fixtures, taping and laying down drop cloths
- Inventory paint equipment and supplies
- Store paint and related chemicals in accordance with company safety policies
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Provide superior customer service
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate knowledge of painting techniques and methods
- Clean up the area after work, following all safety guidelines for handling and disposing of hazardous chemicals and waste
- Use a variety of techniques and tools (spray equipment, airbrushes, stencils, rollers or brushes) to paint surfaces, selecting the appropriate tool for each job
- Apply primers, pre‑finishes and finishing coats appropriately; use special safety equipment such as self‑contained suits or protective eyewear when required
- Operate paint guns and other wet‑painting equipment efficiently
- Differentiate between colors and manage multiple priorities with frequent interruptions
- Use hand and power tools and equipment safely and effectively
- Communicate effectively with all levels of employees
Position Requirements
- Five (5) years of related work experience
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent (College is a plus)
- Strong communication skills

Abilities
- Ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, following proper lifting techniques and safety protocols
- Relocate a 12‑foot stepladder without assistance
- Work at various heights up to 60 feet, including climbing and maintaining balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks and all types of ladders
- Perform repetitive movements such as walking, climbing, lifting, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling and reaching overhead
- Possess good vision (corrected vision), color vision, and the ability to hear and communicate in English
- Use a standard ladder without exceeding weight limits while carrying tools
- Identify potential problems and recognize when something is likely to go wrong
- Apply general rules to specific problems to produce meaningful answers
- Combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions
- See details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
- Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
Pay Range
USD $22.00 – USD $27.00 /Yr.
