Qualifications

• Experience in automotive or industrial painting.
• Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
• Ability to read and interpret basic instructions and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Chemically clean and prepare aluminum surfaces for paint.
• Sand, buff, and refine surfaces using DA sanders, buffers, and hand tools.
• Mask and prep components to ensure clean, precise finishes.
• Mix single-stage urethane paints using computerized systems for exact color matching.
• Apply coatings using HVLP gravity-fed spray guns.
• Deliver consistent, high-end automotive-quality finishes across products.
• Identify and correct imperfections (runs, orange peel, coverage issues).
• Maintain and clean spray equipment and paint systems.
• Accurately match part numbers, work orders, and paint codes.
• Safely handle and dispose of paints, solvents, and hazardous materials.
• Read blueprints and ensure builds meet exact customer specifications.
• Support process improvements and quality initiatives.
• Assist with paint inventory and material tracking.
• Cross-train and contribute across the department as needed.
