Job summary

Omni Glass & Paint, LLC is seeking a skilled painter to prepare surfaces by scraping and sanding, mix paints to match colors, and apply coatings to interior and exterior surfaces. The role requires working at heights, using scaffolding or ladders, and traveling to multiple Midwest job sites.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and the ability to read blueprints and simple instructions.

• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.

Responsibilities

• Smooth surfaces and remove old paint to prepare surfaces for painting.
• Mix and select paints to match specified colors; apply with brushes, spray guns, or rollers.
• Paint interiors and exteriors of buildings and structures; apply corrosion protection coatings.
• Set up scaffolding or ladders; travel to worksites, primarily in the Midwest.
• Maintain safety with PPE and adhere to hours including evenings/weekends.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Smooth surfaces
• and removes old paint from surfaces to prepare surfaces for painting.
• This is done through scraping or using sandblasting equipment. Fills
• nail holes, cracks, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other
• filler.
• Selects premixed paints, or mixes required portions of pigment,
• oil, and thinning and drying substances to prepare paint that matches
• specified colors.
• Paints surfaces with brushes, spray gun (conventional
• or airless), or paint rollers.
• Applies paint with cloth, brush, sponge,
• or fingers to create special effects.
• Erects scaffolding or sets up
• ladders to perform tasks above ground level.
• Creates a durable finish
• that will withstand harsh conditions.
• Applies corrosion protection
• coatings.
• Paints interior and exterior of buildings and other
• structures.
• Wears necessary protective equipment such as a respirator or
• spray hood, hard hat, safety glasses, safety shoes, hand protection, and
• hearing protection or any additional personal protective equipment that
• is required by the customer.
• Ability to travel to various worksites,
• primarily in the Midwest.
• Overnight travel may be required.
• Continuously
