Qualifications

• Work in dusty/fume-filled environments; mask when required.

Responsibilities

Job description

Morey's Piers & Resorts, a leading family recreation destination in Southern New Jersey, is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the position of Industrial Painter. This position is responsible for industrial and commercial painting of buildings, rides, games, water parks, food, and housing areas as required. Completion of projects in a timely manner is a must for this role and will include sanding, chipping, and removal of old paint as well as painting.

Minimum technical requirements include:

• 5+ years of painting experience - industrial experience preferred.
• Must be familiar with small hand tools such as hand grinders, sanders, etc.
• Able to lift/carry at least 75 pounds.
• Must be comfortable with heights.
• Able to walk up and down stairs.
• Able to perform physical work including crawling, pushing, bending, stooping, and lifting.
• Comfortable with working in dusty and fume-filled environments at times.
• Comfortable with wearing a mask during specific projects.

The successful candidate will have the following qualities:

• Ability to work independently with little supervision and as part of a team.
• Able to use high reach/scissor lift is a plus.
• Drywall and finishing experience is a plus.
• Prior experience with industrial spray equipment and surface preparation.
