Job summary

Sewer Equipment in Dixon, IL is seeking an Industrial Paint Cleaner / Prepper to prepare surfaces for painting. The role involves cleaning, sanding, power washing, masking, and moving parts through the paint process. You will ensure paint shop equipment is maintained and follow safety procedures.

Ideal candidates will be able to work in a team, handle lifting tasks, and operate forklifts as part of daily duties. Full-time, day shift based in Dixon with standard production hours.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work as part of a team.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Prolonged standing and ability to push a rolling load of parts.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sand and power wash metal surfaces, fabricated parts and structures prior to the painting process per process instructions.
• Masking and unmasking using paper, foil, tape, or other materials.
• Transport, move or guide parts, sub-assemblies, or assemblies before, during or after paint process and to next operation.
• Insure proper maintenance and operation of paint shop equipment.
• Maintains a safe clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
• Hang parts to prepare for power washing.
• Conduct daily test of solvents used to clean parts.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
