Description
Nashville Wire Products is hiring a Multi Craft Industrial Maintenance Technician for its overnight shift in Northwest Nashville, Tennessee. This position’s duties include preventive maintenance activities, troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing machinery and equipment.
Job Overview
- Role: Multi Craft Industrial Maintenance Technician
- Shift Hours: 3:30 pm to 2:00 am, Monday through Friday (base schedule of approx. 50 hours/week with additional overtime on 6 th day as required)
- Incentive: Double time for all overtime hours worked over 40
Compensation & Pay Progression
- Maintenance Class B: Starts at $32.50/hr, moves to $33.50/hr at 90 days, and $34.50/hr at 1 year (approx. $110,500 annualized with 50-hour weeks, shift differential, and double time).
- Maintenance Class A: Starts at $35.50/hr, moves to $36.50/hr at 90 days, and $37.75/hr at 1 year (approx. $121,000 annualized with 50 hour weeks, shift differential, and double time).
- Shift Differential: $1.00/hr extra for night shifts above base rates above.
Key Duties
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair machinery, hydraulic/mechanical stamping presses, and resistance welding systems.
- Set up, integrate, and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Minimize line downtime and resolve recurring mechanical and electrical issues.
Requirements
- Strong emphasis on electrical, however, mechanical experience is required
- Steady work history in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
- Pass evaluations including a math and tape measure fraction test, mechanical aptitude test, drug screen, and a 7-year background check.
