Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; trade school preferred.
• Knowledge of machine functions and safety hazards.
• Proficient in hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, electrical and building maintenance tasks.
• Basic working knowledge of PLCs and electrical controls; ability to troubleshoot and repair.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical and building components on industrial equipment.
• Performs multi-craft tasks and repairs equipment breakdowns promptly.
• Ensure safe output of quality cut-to-length steel.
• Maintain production standards while minimizing scrap and rework.
• Work in a team-oriented atmosphere with continuous improvement toward a world-class facility.
• May require weekend/holiday work; entry near heat, noise, gas, and chemicals.
