Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training is a plus.
• Background in manual machining with lathe/mill preferred.
• Mechanically inclined candidates with strong learning attitude welcome.
• Blueprint reading skills are a plus.
• Reliable, team‑oriented and organized.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform inspection, repair, and refurbishment of dies and tooling under mentorship.
• Fabricate replacement components using manual machines.
• Operate lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, drill presses.
• Read engineering drawings and blueprints where available.
• Apply hands‑on judgment for legacy tooling with no prints.
• Use precision measurement tools like micrometers, calipers, dial indicators.
• Support tooling setup, alignment, and adjustments for quality.
• Assist production during changeovers, setups, and startups.
• Maintain tooling inventory and records of repairs/modifications.
• Follow safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
