You trace the fault through a panel you helped build, confirm I/O health at the PLC, and swap a starter to get production back online. Next, you’re fabricating a bracket, bending conduit, and bringing a robot cell into spec. By the end of the day, you’ve logged your work, closed preventive maintenance tasks, and left your area clean and safe. That’s a typical day for our Industrial Millwright and Electro-Mechanical Technician. What You’ll TackleDismantle, install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and mechanical systems on upsetters, shears, blasters, cranes, conveyors, extrusion presses, PLCs, and related equipment.Install and troubleshoot motors, drives, starters, and I/O circuits; perform building maintenance and facility utilities work (electrical devices, compressed air, natural gas).Execute preventive maintenance; keep accurate records and logs; use materials, tools, and supplies correctly and safely.Read blueprints and schematic drawings; assemble machinery and fasten to foundations or structures by bolting, welding, or riveting.Install robots and select programs; measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit; drill pass-throughs; pull wiring; trace and resolve shorts.Assist with lifting, positioning, and securing wiring, conduit, motors, and assemblies.Perform minor electrical repairs (fuses, sockets, bulbs, switches); disassemble defective equipment, replace worn parts, and reassemble.Conduct non-load-bearing, basic welding and cutting-torch work; maintain clean work areas, machines, and tools.QualificationsExperience: Minimum 4 years in a manufacturing setting as an Electrical Maintenance professional or Millwright; strong mechanical aptitude.
